Archaeologists Found 600-Year-Old Artifacts Beneath the Floors of An English Hall

Matthew Champion is an archaeologist who works with different teams in restoring the Oxburgh Hall in Oxborough, England. As an effect of the coronavirus pandemic, he was left with no choice but to continue doing the work on his own.

While working, he unexpectedly stumbled upon thousands of artifacts such as ancient books and Elizabethan textiles that trace back to as early as the 16th century. A 600-year-old significant find, however, was discovered with the help of some construction workers. Champion and the team believe that this item belonged to Sir Edmund Bedingfeld, the builder of Oxburgh Hall.
